When we launched Rumble Post in November 2024, the goal was simple: build a small, focused sound-post house in East London that works closely with directors and treats every project - from commercials to shorts to features - with the same level of attention. A year later, the studio has grown faster than any of us expected. More films, more collaborators, more late-night mixes and an increasingly busy creative ecosystem around our home at Playhouse East.

Most of that growth happens quietly. Work comes in, sessions run, we deliver mixes, projects go off to festivals, and new directors find us through word of mouth. Starting this year, this Press section is our way of making the process visible. It gives us a place to talk openly about the work, the thinking behind it and the evolution of the studio.

This space will cover the projects coming through the door, the challenges they bring and the moments that stand out - whether that’s rebuilding a scene from scratch, experimenting with a strange piece of sound design or finding the right approach on a fast-turnaround commercial. When a film we’ve worked on screens or wins something, gets selected or simply releases a trailer, this is where we’ll be highlighting it.

We’ll also use the Press section to document Rumble's changing facilities. Over the past year we’ve expanded our workflow, refined our post-production pipeline, added new equipment, and developed a seamless collaboration with partnered post-production vendors. Sharing that progress helps demystify how we do things and gives directors and producers a clearer picture of what to expect when they work with us.

Another aim is to open up the craft side of sound. Here, we can break down concepts in a simple, transparent way - why we've approached the sound design & mix in the way we have and the technical difficulties we've faced along the way.

Finally, the Press section will highlight the community around the studio: the directors we collaborate with, the actors and writers at Playhouse East and the wider network of filmmakers who come through the building. Rumble doesn’t sit in isolation. It’s part of a busy creative hub and we sit firmly in the overlap between film, theatre and sound. This can often be the source of some of the most interesting parts of our week-to-week work!

In short, this space is here to track our first few years as an established post house - the wins, the projects, the experiments and the things we’re learning as we grow. Regular updates will follow as new films release, new work comes in, and the studio continues to evolve.
