"Annette is finally getting her big break: she’s getting to actually make the film she wrote. Her story is one of abuse of women by men—a story based on a traumatic incident that all of her friends seem to have forgotten or forgiven. Not Annette.
Obsessed with psycho-drama, violence, and her own vaginal discharge, she embarks on a shoot that is simultaneously a journey of self-discovery and self-destruction. We see bits and pieces of her film, a mystery tale which shifts between drama and gore."
We're excited to announce that Worry Time will be celebrating its world premiere on the Berlin Critics' Week opening night of films and debate at Hackesche Höfe Kino on 10th February.
Writer / lead actor Emma Paetz and director Tom Brennan have created a work that circles around fear, abuse, pregnancy and hate; but also around light, colour, bodies, fake blood, sex, insanity and discomfort, both bodily and psychological.
We had the pleasure of delivering the full sound post-production on Worry Time over last summer and we're incredibly excited to see this very special film beginning its journey outside of the studios and into festivals, cinemas and screens all around.
We'll be doing a longer write-up soon about our approach to the sound design & mix so stay tuned for that!
